Home Visits

Home visits are for patients who are too ill to attend surgery, they are not for people who have no transport to get to surgery, when you ring for a home visit the reception staff will ask you a few questions relating to your illness and these will be passed on to the doctor to decide if a house visit is appropriate.

Wherever possible doctors ask that patients be brought to the surgery for review where their complete medical records are accessible and there are better facilities to instigate thorough examination and treatment.

Inappropriate requests for home visits may be rejected.

All requests for home visits should be phoned in by 10.30am.

Patients should note that they are not guaranteed to see the doctor of their choice on home visits.
