The purpose of the Maternity Triage Unit is to assess women who are more than 20 weeks into their pregnancy as well as women who are 42 days post delivery who have an urgent clinic complaint relating to pregnancy and delivery. A midwife will triage for many reasons, and you should always call triage at anytime if your baby’s movements have reduced, your waters have broken, if you see any blood loss in our underwear or if you feel unwell. If you are worried you can phone them for advice and support.
